Website Laundry Management for Odoo 19: User Guide

What the app is for

Website Laundry Management adds online laundry booking to Odoo 19.0.

On your website, customers:

• choose their garments, services, add-ons and an urgent option
• see the price update as they go
• pick a time slot
• pay online or pay later

You control where you offer home pickup and home delivery (service zones) and when (time slots). Your drivers get a phone-friendly list of today's pickups and deliveries.

Installation

Self-hosted Odoo 19.0

1. Buy the app from the store page and download the module.
2. Unzip it into a folder that is in your Odoo addons_path. The folder must be named ki_website_laundry_management.
3. Restart the Odoo service.
4. In Odoo, turn on developer mode, then go to Apps and click Update Apps List.
5. Search for Website Laundry Management (remove the default Apps filter if it does not show up) and click Install.

Example commands. Adjust the paths and service name to match your server.

Setup

Complete these steps before you share the booking page with customers.

1. Create service zones

Service zones define where you offer home pickup and home delivery.

1. Go to Laundry > Configuration > Service Zones.
2. Click New.
3. Enter a name for the zone, for example City Centre.
4. Add the ZIP codes the zone covers.
5. Set the charges for the zone.
6. Set the minimum order for the zone.
7. Save. Repeat for each area you serve.

2. Open time slots

Time slots control when customers can book a pickup or delivery.

1. Go to Laundry > Configuration > Time Slots.
2. Click New.
3. Choose the weekday.
4. Set the hours, for example 09:00 to 12:00.
5. Set the capacity, which is how many bookings the slot can take.
6. Save. Add one record for each slot you want to open.

Customers can only pick slots that are still free.

3. Set up garments, services, add-ons and the urgent option

These are the items customers see on the booking page, with the price shown as they go.

1. Go to [CHECK: menu path for garments, services and add-ons].
2. Create the garments you accept, for example shirts, trousers and bedding.
3. Create the services, for example wash, dry clean and iron, and set prices.
4. Create any add-ons.

4. Configure online payment

1. Open Payment Providers from the Website or Invoicing menu. [CHECK: exact menu path in Odoo 19.0]
2. Open the provider you use and enter its credentials.
3. Enable and publish the provider.
4. Test a booking with a small amount before you go live.

5. Set up drivers

6. Link the booking page

The booking page is at /laundry/book. Add it to your website menu so customers can find it. For example: https://yourdomain.com/laundry/book.

Using the app

Customers: booking at /laundry/book

1. The customer opens /laundry/book on your website.
2. They add garments and choose services, add-ons and the urgent option if they need it. The price updates as they go.
3. They choose drop-off (they bring the laundry to you) or home pickup.
4. For home pickup, they enter their address. Pickup and delivery are offered within your service zones. [CHECK: what the customer sees if their ZIP code is outside all zones or the order is below the zone's minimum order]
5. They pick a free time slot.
6. They pay online or choose to pay later.

Drivers: Laundry Runs

Laundry Runs is a phone-friendly app for your drivers. It lists today's pickups and deliveries.

1. The driver opens Laundry Runs on their phone. [CHECK: how drivers open Laundry Runs, for example its URL or menu]
2. They see today's pickups and deliveries.
3. Each stop shows the customer's address, phone and a map link.
4. They tap the phone number to call the customer, or the map link to get directions.
5. After handing the laundry over, they tap Delivered to close the order.

Delivery OTP

Delivery OTP is part of the delivery process. [CHECK: how the OTP is generated and sent to the customer, where the driver enters it, and whether it is required before Delivered can be tapped]

Customers: the portal

Customers can track their orders from their account.

1. The customer logs in to your website.
2. They go to My Account > Laundry Orders.
3. They see a list of their laundry orders with status and dates.

Tips

• Start with a few zones. Begin with the ZIP codes you already serve. Add more once routes are working.
• Match slot capacity to your drivers. Set capacity to what your team can actually handle in that window. Lower it for busy days instead of overbooking.
• Use minimum orders to protect margins. Zones further away can have a higher minimum order or charge.
• Test the full flow yourself. Book as a customer, pay with a test payment, open the run as a driver and tap Delivered. Then check My Account > Laundry Orders.
• Keep prices current. Customers see prices live while booking, so update garments and services before you change your price list in store.
• Make sure customer phone numbers are correct. Drivers rely on the phone number and map link in Laundry Runs.

Limitations

• The app supports Odoo 19.0 only.
• Home pickup and home delivery are only offered in the service zones you set up, based on ZIP codes.
• Customers can only book time slots you have opened and that still have capacity.
• Online payment uses the payment providers configured in Odoo. A provider must be set up and published before customers can pay online.
